As we stood outside perusing the menu a passer by urged us to go in as it was great. So we did, really enjoyed our lunch it was fresh, tasty and the room inside has a great atmosphere
Wonderful restaurant with wonderful staff.
It’s not often you have great mains with starters and drinks and both smile at each other when the bill arrives as its very reasonable.
Pretty sure this is now our favourite local restaurant.
Also great to have an owner who greats you and makes sure your having a good evening.

An excellent meal served by really friendly and efficient staff. I splashed out starting with Chicken liver pate, lamb for main and finishing with sticky toffee pudding. To drink a couple of beers (St Mungo) and a coffee.
I ate early wautng for the Sleeper train and the restaurant filled up as the evening went on. The owner came round to check all was well and was appropriately convivial. I liked the open kitchen too, offering something to watch as I was dining alone.
Highly recommended.
Lovely and cosy restaurant on Castle street. Fabulous local food and kind/fun staffs. Had a Venison steak with black pudding mash, it was cooked to perfection ⭐️
